All wise stuff here but if I want to read say an Icelandic saga and the translator transposes it to say Samoa slings out the longships in favour of outriggers and sets it in grass skirts it might piss me off??

Nice move into all the areas, Uche. Utimately, like you, I come to feel
that poets oughtn't need to slap "warning labels" on their work; rather,
that readers "balance enjoying the output work with their desire for
fidelity to the original".
