Most who do these creative writing courses don't end up as poets but use
it as training in good and effective writing for whatever profession.
Poets and artists find a way to educate themselves, even at art schools
and the majority of creative arts graduates don't become artist. (You
wouldn't like some of these courses, Dave. Nor would I, from what I
read.)
UTS where I was would be the polar opposite of Oxford being production
based like a tech college. But then even Oxford seems to be converting
from a uni to a technical college.
