Much the same in our Trust, we thought they may have made a statement
regarding unique circumstances and made some allowances?

Emma, Karen has forwarded this on to me. Our draft policy on adverse
weather and extreme conditions says that a manager can come to an
agreement with staff that time off should be annual leave, unpaid leave,
or the hours made up at another time or a combination of all three.
Hope that's helpful.
Best wishes

Dear Karen,
Can you advise on the policy to adopt in handling staff who are stranded
abroad for the foreseeable future. Though to date I only have one
member of staff in the USA unable to return, I am sure I am not alone
and further cases will come to light today.
Kind Regards
Em
