weather and extreme conditions says that a manager can come to an
agreement with staff that time off should be annual leave, unpaid leave,
or the hours made up at another time or a combination of all three.

Can you advise on the policy to adopt in handling staff who are stranded
abroad for the foreseeable future. Though to date I only have one
member of staff in the USA unable to return, I am sure I am not alone
and further cases will come to light today.
