Dear List,
I've just read a term in a 16th century Cornish tinwork deed referring
to the word Tolnet in connection with the work. The way it is couched
suggests that it is actually the name of the working, but its sounds
different than the usual name variants and I wondered if it might have
something to do with 'Toll Tin' (taxed tin)?
Any ideas, anyone?
