Dr Alison Tedman will introduce a screening of Pan’s Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro, 2006)
Dr Alison Tedman is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Production and New Media at Bucks New University. Her research interests include fantasy, fairy-tale and popular media, and women and cinema. She is the author of a forthcoming book, Realms of Fantasy: Spectacle, Gender and Fairy-Tale Cinema, to be published this year (2010).

Dr Lois Drawmer is a Principal Lecturer in Film and Media at Bucks New University. Her research interests include representations of women in film, art and in new media technologies. She recently co-edited a book of essays on the representation of evil, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Rodopi Press, 2009

Greg Singh will introduce a screening of Into The Wild (Penn, 2007)
After several years as Senior Lecturer in Media Studies at Bucks New University, Greg Singh currently teaches film at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He is a contributor to the Directory of World Cinema: American Independent (Intellect, 2010) and has published extensively on contemporary cinema. He is the author of Film After Jung (Routledge, 2009), an overview of the connections between depth psychology and the study of film, and is currently working on his second book, centred on emotion and meaningful encounters with popular cinema.

Dr Colette Balmain will introduce a screening of Whispering Corridors 4:Voice (Yeogo goedam 4: Moksori, Ik-hwan Choe, South Korea: 2005)
Dr Colette Balmain is a scholar, researcher and film critic. She published her first book, Introduction to Japanese Horror Film in 2008 and is currently working on her second book on Korean horror cinema. Her main area of expertise is East Asian Cinema and Cultures, but she also writes on Hollywood and European film and has forthcoming contributions in Directory of World Cinema: American Independent (Intellect: 2010) and 101 Cult Films You Must See Before You Die (Cassell Illustrated, 2010). She is an editor for the electronic journal of Japanese studies, and is also the editor for Directory of World Cinema: Korea (Intellect: 2011).
