***With apologies for cross posting***
Call for members for MUDL: Managing and Understanding Data in Libraries.
MUDL promotes discussion around methodologies and facilitates the
sharing of good practice between academic library data managers, as well
as working with publishers and aggregators to further improve the
availability, accessibility and comparability of data. Publishers are
able to hear first-hand how libraries are using the data currently
provided to them, in particular usage statistics reports, and to work
together to develop the right support and services for institution. The
purpose of the group is to facilitate easier collection and management
of data related to the management of academic libraries and to promote
improved consistency and comparability of such data.
Serving on the committee involves attending up to three meetings per
year and contributing through those meetings (and possibly through other
linked events like seminars) to the work of MUDL. Still within its
formative stages, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of
the MUDL activities.
What's in it for you? Working with colleagues from institutions across
the sector is rewarding and stimulating and broadens your perspectives.
There are opportunities to develop skills and gain experience which may
not be available in your workplace. Your active contribution to MUDL
demonstrates genuine commitment to CPD to current and prospective future
employers.
Please send your expression of interest to Selena Killick at

Kind regards,
Selena Killick on behalf of the MUDL Committee.
