The School of Modern Languages at the University o St Andrews invites
application for PhDs scholarships for the academic year 2010-11. I am
circulating this in connection with possible application for a PhD in Italian
Studies.

The School of Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews is pleased to
invite applications for one PhD studentship, available to an outstanding
student who wishes to undertake doctoral study in the School of Modern
Languages (French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Latin American
Studies, Linguistics, Cultural Identity Studies), starting in September 2010.
This studentship is worth £8,000 per year, for a period of three years of
full-time doctoral study, or to be adapted accordingly for part time study.
This amount will pay home/EU tuition fees (£3,400 in the current academic
year), with the remainder of the sum contributing to maintenance. To be
considered for this studentship, candidates must have registered by 30 April
2010.
