Dear all,
I would like to draw your attention to the short course:
SC4 - "Hyperspectral technology for mineral and environmental applications" to be held in conjunction with the EGU General Assembly 2010 scheduled 2nd - 7th May 2010.
This course aims to provide the background theoretical knowledge for the use of hyperspectral data for the generation of semiquantitative information for mineral mapping and environmental measurements. Several case histories demonstrating the use of hyperspectral sensing for alteration/geological mapping and for mapping and monitoring environmental concerns (e.g. dust distribution, asbestos distribution) will be shown.
More information about the short course can be found on http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2010/session/3146
Please feel free to forward this E-mail to possibly interested people.
Please notice that there will be a closely related session ERE4.2 about "Quantitative approaches to hydrothermal systems". See http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2010/session/3133 for details.
I'm looking forward to seeing you in Vienna,
Carsten Laukamp
