Dear Frank,
Suoerficially, your sample looks much like some of the retrogressed
eclogites from the Seve Nappe Complex of northern Jämtland, Caledonides of
western central Sweden, described and discussed in several papers by Herman
van Roermund. I take it that you have shown your sample to Herman for his
comments.
J. Langendoen & H.L.M. van Roermund (2007, Neth. J. Geosci. 86/2, 145-157)
described an erratic (retro)eclogite block from Haren (Groningen), which was
concluded to originate from the Jämtland occurrences.
I have several samples of the retrogressed Jämtland eclogites here.
Regards,
Hanan Kisch
