Hi,
I'm afraid there is no way that you can limit the parameters
in FLIRT. You can provide starting estimates within certain
ranges for the searches, but each search will go as far as it
needs to in order to find a (local) maximum for the similarity.
If you don't want a search and think it is well aligned to start
with then use the -nosearch option. However, there is no
guarantee that the transformation will be small, but if you
think the correct solution is close then it should be fine.
