Planning, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Sheffield. The job summary

number of areas of direct relevance to geographers, and the Department has a
strong history of appointing candidates from a range of social science
disciplines.

Lectureship – Department of Town and Regional Planning.
You will work in an interdisciplinary environment at the interface of social
scientific theory and policy, and with a concern for justice, whether social,
environmental or spatial. You should be able to demonstrate potential to
achieve international research excellence in one or more of the following
themes: values in planning; planning ideas; practices and policy frameworks;
the making of places; government practices and governance; economies; markets
and the state, or spatial knowledge and analyses. You will teach on
undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and supervise doctoral students. A PhD
in a relevant subject area (or equivalent experience) is essential, so will
need proven teaching ability.
