Dear Community Psychology Discussion List,
I am grateful to participants who have replied to my (unintended)
circulated letter. At the moment I have read only two, both of which
were quite supportive of my position, and I am naturally grateful for
that in particular. I intend to open all replies and I am
formulating a response in terms of social psychology and community
psychology.
In brief, and for the future, I think that the community psychology
community needs to consider having a division or category directly
relating to power and authority, which is very close to political
psychology, as a separate focus. These issues always hover in the
background, but they may not be the principal focus in a given study.
Again, thank you, and I am glad this has been aired. I will reply in
more detail covering all points raised and those by my original
correspondent in about a fortnight. Have a good May Day Holiday we
all deserve it! Especially May Day.
Erica Brostoff
