‘Paying Attention’ – 6-10 September, Linköping, Sweden
The Digital Cultures Research Centre (University of the West of England) invites final submissions for this exciting conference by May 1st.
Paying Attention is concerned with the politics of search and its power to shape the digital media cultures of the web-native generation. Keynote presentations will be given by leading commentators in debates around “playbour,” the attention economy, critical media arts practice and peer-to-peer. This significant and timely trans-disciplinary intervention is convened as part of the European Science Foundations Humanities and Social Sciences conference program for 2010. The conference web application is at www.esf.org/conferences/10316.
The conference fee of €730 includes registration, accommodation, full board and conference reception, dinner and excursion. Please also note that the conference has substantial funds available to support part or all of these costs of attending.
