*Terms of employment*
The Archaeological Research Laboratory, Department of Archaeology and
Classical studies, Stockholm University, has one vacant PhD-student
position in archaeometry with special focus on aDNA-studies. The
duration of the position is four years including at least three years of
research and at most one year of course work. The position may be
extended up to one year if up to 20% teaching assistance or
administration is included in the contract. The position is available
from 2010-09-01. The first year of the position is financed by a study
grant (Sw utbildningsbidrag) whereas the remaining three years of the
position is a proper employment the holder of which qualifies for the
standard Swedish social benefits.
*Admission requirements*
Admission for PhD studies at Stockholm University is highly competitive
and a Masters Degree in Archaeology/Archaeometry or equivalent at the
time of application is a specific entry requirement for a successful
application. It is expected that a decision will be made by the
Department in late May or early June. Applications will not be returned
and unsuccessful candidates will not be notified.

degrees (b) a brief CV, outlining your academic progress to date; (c) a
statement (of no more than 1000 words) outlining your proposed research;
(d) a sample of written work; and (e) the name and address (including
e-mail address) of two referees that are familiar with your work.
