We seek to appoint two ambitious and innovative KTP Associates to exciting graduate posts in the Strategic Analysis team at Scottish Water to undertake a project in collaboration with the leading Management Science groups at the Universities of Strathclyde and Edinburgh. Each Associate will have a generous training and development programme, and the opportunity to develop and embed market leading technology in one of Scotland's largest companies; contributing from day one to their ambitious asset management strategy that will impact every household and business in Scotland. Both Associates will be based at Scottish Water in Dunfermline.
Associate 1

Purpose - To create and evaluate statistical models to represent asset deterioration and predict future reliability for Scottish Water's key asset groups
Person specification - Degree in numerate subject and experience in statistical modelling of industrial problems

Purpose - To develop asset life-cycle planning tools that optimises capital and operational activity in an economically meaningful manner.
Person specification - Good first degree in numerate subject, Mathematical and Computing skills relevant to business and industrial problems, Ability to develop advanced computer programs for mathematical/statistical modelling (e.g. JAVA, R, C++, Matlab).
