Hi Vin,
To be honest, I am impressed with how you use your
terminologies (disability and Impairments). Most
of all I would like to follow up on the issue of
disability culture and more so, (deaf culture) Do
you have any articles or readings that I would
benefit from regarding this topic?
Waiting to hearing from you at your convenience.
Hama.

Subject: Re: Training
just like to point out that to meet your
Disability Equality Duty as a public authority
under the 2005 DDA you should start with
Disability Equality Training using a disabled
person who is a qualified DE Trainer - then at
least you would avoid using the term
'disabilities' when you mean impairments and would
know that Ddeaf people use this spelling to
indicate that some Ddeaf people consider
themselves not as disabled people but as members
of a linguistic minority. Disability Awareness
Training has tended to be Medical Model based and
used offensive training methods like simulation
training. If you google disability equality
training rather than awareness you get more
accurate results.
