Hi,

yes - we've slowly been increasing their numbers on our wireless
network since they were launched - pretty much terating them as replacements
for our earlier units (but with the added bonus of 802.11N
> Good news and horror stories both welcome.
not sure why you'd expect such juicy info... certainly nothing
outstanding but a few notes.
they dont just fit on the older 1131 mouting brackets...you have to get
an adapter. they are slightly bigger [than 1131] so any mounts near
sockets might be tight.
you really need to connect them at gig to get the 11n benefit (600mbit
is presented to wifi PHY in total) - this means overhaul of the backend
supply. they can use the same power bricks as the 1131AG - which is handy
as if you buy them in the 10-pack eco-bundle you dont get power supplies.
notes for 802.11n - to get the 300mbit connectivity you need to either
be open (eg captive portal), or AES (WPA2).
to get 300mbit you need to be running in the 40MHz (side-by-side 20MHz channel)
mode. if you do this with bgn (2.4GHz) then you dont have non-overlapping
channels. best current practice (recommendation!) is to only run the 40MHz mode
in the 5GHz spectrum...where there are enough channels to allow upper or lower
pairing and little overlapping.
the 1142 really just bahaves otherwise like an 1131 - but you have the 11n with
MIMO (2x3) to get better coverage and range - that part of 802.11n delivers
as it says it does. note, you'll need the latest WISM/controller firmware
to utilise the new 802.11N features
