Early Bird Registration Extended Deadline
-----------------------------------------------
Conference Bursaries Announced
-----------------------------------------------
Keynote Speakers
-----------------------------------------------
Hi All,
We have extended our early bird prices for the PsyPAG Conference for one more week. So if you register before midnight on 16th April 2010 you will pay a reduced fee. We are all conscious of the expense involved in attending conferences when you are a postgraduate student, and we hope that this discount (in combination with our great value full registration fee!) will help to lighten the load a little.
More great news is that the conference team are delighted to have the opportunity to award bursaries of £100 to go towards travel/accommodation and registration for the conference. We normally offer 10 bursaries, but in celebration of our 25th year we can offer 25! You can apply on the website, the deadline for application is 11 June 2010 and is open to all psychology postgraduate students attending the conference.
We are also please to announce that Dr Catriona Morrison, University of Leeds and Honorary Chair of the BPS Cognitive Section will join Dr Chris Armitage and Professor Robin Dunbar as a keynote speaker at the conference. Dr Morrison will open our conference on Wednesday 21st July with a talk on excessive internet use and depression.
We have received a good number of submissions already and are looking forward to a stimulating conference. For more details on how to register and submit see the conference website (http://www.psypag.co.uk/conference). Don't forget that you can submit applications to run symposia and/or workshops too! We would particularly like to encourage any students who are practice based to attend. The deadline for submissions is 21st May 2010.
Myself and other committee members will be at the BPS Annual Conference next week, if you are attending please feel free to come along to the PsyPAG stand and say hello!
Kind regards
Sue and the rest of the Conference Team
