I didn't mention it, but I had exactly the same experience. I opened up a
fresh browser on a freshly booted computer which hadn't been to Jiscmail,
or possibly any federated resource, for some time, and it recognised me
and I was logged in (which explains to the eagle-eyed how I managed to
"log out" (having complained a couldn't log in in the first place) and
discover the still non-federated default login page). Recognising an old
cookie perhaps?
Wow, it is doing that on all my browsers on all my platforms, most of
which won't have visited Jiscmail in ages! I daren't log out now though
in case I need Jiscmail later today and can't get back in.

Look at all those happy handsome people in those photos. I'd like to work
at Jiscmail if that's what its like there!
