You can setup your assignments so that students can see the results of
the "originality report." Further, you can set the assignment so that
students can resubmit their papers. So you can easily use it as a
pedagogical tool as well.
And in my experience, it both works for this purpose, and also cuts
down on plagiarism, as well as the work I must do to police it.
