I think Jeffrey it's because this is one of those rare examples of
poetry in an 'other' context intruding into our our own - it
especially catches because it's about poetry in a format (game show)
that we think of as being anti poetry or anti real or something.
Before, I've thought of having fun with an X factor type poetry night
at the Language Club, as a joke of course, but when I thought about it
more I realised that it wouldn't really be a joke. It would contain an
uncomfortable level of seriousness.
