*US Embassy London - South Asia Media Specialist*



The Regional Media Hub at US Embassy London is in search of a
detail-orientated, multilingual South Asia Media Specialist characterized by
outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to excel under pressure.



In this varied and challenging role, you will be at the forefront of
communications with South Asia journalists, editors, and other high level
contacts in order to explain and promote the policies and perceptions of the
United States Government thorough the design and implementation of a full
range of press events, interviews, media opportunities and original
articles.



As a University graduate, you will have gained impressive work experience as
a journalist in a South Asia media organization, or acquired equivalent work
experience within the South Asia media.  Now you will be in search of a new
exciting job opportunity which will utilize your extensive contacts and
exceptional language skills in English and Urdu.  This position will also
provide you with an ideal platform to showcase your solid knowledge of South
Asia media, politics, history, and culture and knowledge of United States
foreign policies, political system, society and culture.



Please note that a key requirement of the role will be the ability to handle
a broad range of tasks within your work schedule, but sometimes you will be
required to adopt a flexible approach to carrying out duties outside of
standard work hours, such as when providing support to major US Government
visitors and special Hub programs/projects.

*£40,824 to £62,122 gross salary per annum, plus discounted health care
