You are invited to attend this Friday, 26th March, at 14.00 in the Institute for Transport Studies lecture theatre:
Rolling out 'good practice' - theoretical perspectives: Dr Greg Marsden
The identification of 'good practice' and its roll out to the wider community is often considered an effective means of accelerating the uptake of sustainable transport policies. This seminar will discuss the theoretical expectations which surround a) the creation of 'good practice' and b) the power, motivations and incentives underpinning the degree to which such practice is indeed accepted and adopted.
The seminar builds on recent work for the Volvo Foundation and Department for Transport but is intended as a discussion of theoretical concepts and implications for future research agendas rather than a 'project report'. It is the first of a monthly offering from the ITS Sustainable Transport Policy group on theories, methods and applications.
Coffee and cakes available.
All welcome.
