Jeff,
I've made that exact move with relative ease. There are a couple of issue to
keep in mind about the transition, the Mac is a rock-solid 64 bit OS whereas
Windows still has issues (as I understand things), also, the path structures
are slightly different between a pure Linux box and a Mac. The Mac offers a
lot more flexibility than a PC, including some software written specifically
for the Mac (e.g., Osirix). That said, I am sure there is a Mac imaging
group, but I haven't had the time to look, and I haven't tried using SPM.
