Choices and Challenges: Youth participation in library services
CILIPS major one day conference on May 20th in Glasgow spotlights services to youth. This is an event aimed at encouraging practitioners and managers to reflect on youth services and how they are supported and will feature a range of presentations and good practice case studies from across the country.
Confirmed presentations include:
• Youthlink Scotland discussing ‘Being Young in Scotland’
• Young Scot considering the role of library and information services in creating a nation of informed young people
• Youth Access Programmes in libraries
• The Inspector8 initiative
• Dundee City’s Council’s Grey Lodge project
• Youth services and collections in West Lothian
The day will feature a networking lunch and end with a panel discussion when delegates can share views and experiences with the experts.
Cost: Early bird rate until 2nd April: £35 CILIPS members; £45 non-Members; £40 institutional members.
Normal rate after 2nd April: £65 CILIPS members; £80 non members; £75 institutional members.
