Our ICT colleagues are working on a records destruction database. We would like a pick list of record types for each business area of the Council. My archives head has reappeared and is suggsting a long [and archaic] list of record types but frankly I am trying to think more along the lines of [and in no order]:
personal file [personal];
case file [adult services]
Deed
Indemnity
agenda
minutes
poilcy document
register
I can draw them out of existing Corporate tools but wondered if there was a definitive guide available somewhere?
