Professor Jo Rycroft-Malone
Linking knowledge to action:issues and challenges
Jo is a Professor of Health Services and Implementation Research at Bangor University. Her expertise and developing programme
of work is concerned with implementation research/science and knowledge translation. She currently holds NIHR, EU and Canadian Institutes for Health Research funding worth approximately £5 million to explore both the processes and outcomes of implementation.
Jo sits on a number of international and national and strategy development, ‘think tank’ and funding groups including the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) Implementation Strategy Group, Chief Medical Officer’s ‘Clinical Effectiveness Research Agenda Group,’ the NIHR Service Delivery and Organisation Programme commissioning panel and the Canadian Institute for Health’s Research Knowledge Exchange and Translation Committee. Jo has published widely and has presented at numerous national and international health care conferences. She is also the inaugural editor of Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing.
