Hi Bev,
It depends on the subject as some publishers are stronger at particular
elements of AS/A2 curricula. it's more important , I think, to align
resources with examining bodies (AQA, CCEA etc); and to make sure you're
informed if there are to be any changes of examining board, not just
changes in curricula.
however, when asked to provide resources in particular subjects, and
confronted with the option of different publishers, I'm happy to choose
one imprimatur (and its subsidiaries) over another:
Hodder & Stoughton www.hodderheadline.co.uk
Palgrave study guides www.palgravestudyguides.com
Heinemann www.heinemann.co.uk
Letts www.letts-education.com
Philip Allan Updates www.philipallan.co.uk
That's just a few, and is a subjective grouping, but these publishers do
provide good resources for subjects that cohere with examination-board
requirements.
