Hi Charlotte,
We got the same email and I've asked our Subscription agent to contact the publisher for clarification. As yet I've received no response either.
Best wishes,
Helen

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] FW: Query about RCN Publishing
Hello,
I'd be most grateful for any clarification of an email, below, that we
received from RCN Publishing. Has anyone else had this? It appears to
inform us that from 1st April 2010 we will lose access to all current
digital editions of subscribed titles "due to VAT implications."
We subscribe to "Nursing Standard" directly from RCN and to several
other titles via an agent.
I have sent two urgent emails to RCN Publishing asking for more
details, but at the time of writing this, have not received a reply.
Thank you for any light you can shed!
Best wishes,
Charlotte Sing,

Subject: Important information about your subscription
Unfortunately, from 1st April 2010, we are unable to include access
to our digital editions as part of your subscription package due to
VAT implications.
Your subscription still enables direct access to our archive of over
5,800 peer-reviewed online articles from our wide range of nursing
titles, an archive which is added to on a weekly basis. There are also
valuable sections of our site covering careers and student issues, as
well as a weekly updated jobs site at www.rcnbulletinjobs.co.uk.
RCN Publishing is owned by the Royal College of Nursing. With a
membership of over 400,000, the RCN represents more than 60% of the
UK's working nurses. Nursing is our business, which is why our
publications are so highly regarded by the nurses who read them.
To see a full range of our titles please go to www.rcnpublishing.co.uk.
Yours sincerely,
