This year I once again have the pleasure of chairing the EPrints user
strand of the Open Repositories conference.
We are planning a "show and tell" session in which we hope the members
of the EPrints community will step forward and demonstrate any
interesting things they have been doing with their repositories. The
aim of this is to demonstrate and share how EPrints has been developed
to solve real-world issues.
Have you been doing interesting things with your repository? Perhaps
you have developed a reporting tool that you use to contribute to your
institutional annual research report. Maybe you automatically import
records from other sources. Have you found a novel way of engaging your
institutions' busy academics? Are you adding value to your publication
records with data from other sources? Does your institution make
particularly good use of the repository for a practical purpose? Have
you tweaked EPrints and changed the way it does things?
If you are interested in presenting what you have developed, please
email me a brief abstract outlining what you would like to demonstrate.
Presentations will be in the ballpark of 10 minutes. The deadline for
submissions is April 15th, and notification of acceptance will be sent
by May 1st.
I look forward to seeing you in Madrid!
