We have used various scanners in the past. If it is for clinical use, I would
suggest a dedicated scanner. We previously had an All-in-one Lexmark
(fax/scan/copy/print) and over time the quality of the scans deteriorated
dramatically, and could not be improved by tweaking/cleaning. We currently have
an all-in-one HP LaserJet, but the quality of scans with this is nowhere near as
good as the Fujitsu dedicated scanner that we have, and the Fujitsu is much
faster, and does duplex scanning (scans both sides of the page at the same time.
Whatever you buy, an ADF (automatic document feeder) is essential.
