Anyone see Look East tonight...
Cambridge, PIP letters delivered to wrong people, containing names,
AND NHS Numbers (not clear if correct addresses were also on letters).
Apparently a commercial mailing organization is dealing with this
centrally (even though it's an individual PCT decision), and they
sometimes got letters into the wrong envelopes.
Does it seem reasonable that without consent the government is giving
our names, addresses and NHS Numbers to commercial organizations?
I thought in other areas the use of our personal NHS Numbers instead
of names and addresses were one of the key features the government
claimed protected our confidentiality?
There is a minor media fuss which, save for giving the commercial
organization an equally minor slap on the wrist will be ignored.
You know you can trust Gordon....
