This site is the outcome of an ARC Linkage grant between LaTrobe University Schools of History and Social Work, and the Department of Human Services, Victoria, Australia. It presents the history of Kew Cottages through a series of thematic "windows" in four time periods to give viewers an impression of life at Kew over time....These windows display specifically created text; textual and digital stories; memories of residents, family and staff; visual images of people and place; documents from press, archive and official records; views of Kew Cottages from the outside; historical film segments and film stories of individuals in recent times. It provides an invalueable resource to historians, students from a range of disciplines, people with disabilities and their families and self advocates.
