Dear Regenia,
Perhaps some clarification would be helpful here. This event is by
initiative and invitation of the Freiburg IAS. Their intention was to
achieve as broad an international spread of invitees as resources would
allow. If the exploratory grouping (not an organisation) should prove to
have longer-term potential and come to be constituted in any formal fashion,
it will no doubt also become more inclusive, in line with other
international networks. While the UK institutions present will not as such
be acting as representatives of the CIAS, we will of course look beyond our
own interests and can give report, as appropriate.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Dear Collegues, Matthew Reisz the journalist for THE sent me the attached
on an IAS International Conference of which I was unaware. It would be
helpful if when we are involved with these organizations we pass on the
details to other members of CIAS. Very best, Regenia
