there have been mathematical proofs that algorithms for solving some
problems do not and cannot ever exist. not that the problems are too vague.
but the solving algorithms simply cannot exist. indeed, your most brilliant
turing invented the very computer to show mathematically this very thing.
when the question drifts to poetry, of course we are dealing with the
profoundly vague. but, intuitively, beyond issues of vagueness, i expect
that satisfactory and objective criteria for evaluating the quality of poem
x just simply cannot exist--except for limited types of poems.
