A 3 year postdoc position is available in HCI and multimodal interaction in the Glasgow Interactive Systems Group, Department of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. For full details see www22.i-grasp.com/fe/tpl_glasgow01.asp?newms=jj&id=32074. The post will start from 1st August, 2010.
We are looking for excellent and enthusiastic postdoc candidates in all areas of HCI, but we are particularly interested in multimodal interaction and a systems-driven approach to interaction.
The successful candidate will be working within the Glasgow Interactive Systems Group (www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/gist), a world leading HCI research group in the areas of multimodal interaction, ubiquitous computing, dynamics, accident analysis, diagram evaluation and novel forms of authentification.
The post is part funded by SICSA, the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Alliance. This alliance brings together key universities in Scotland investigating methods to enable multiple, rich communication channels between people and vast bodies of information (www.sicsa.ac.uk/themes/mmi/multimodal-interaction). The successful candidate will be encouraged to work with the other Universities that are part of the consortium.
