Dear Professor Wright,
I am writing to you on behalf of the University of Aberdeen Politics &
International Relations Society with an invitation to the members of
the British Association for Chinese Studies for our upcoming event on
Tuesday 23rd March at 6pm, New King's 10, Aberdeen University.
The event is a Pathfinder Book promotion of the book: /Our History is
Still Being Written: The Story of Three Chinese-Cuban Generals in the
Cuban Revolution, /edited by Mary-Alica Waters./ /The book examines the
significance of Chinese immigration to Cuba's revolutionary and
post-revolutionary nation-building along with the social and political
forces which stand behind Cuba's political order. Jonathan Silberman,
will be in Aberdeen for the discussion on the book and other issues
pertaining to Cuban and Chinese politics.
