The Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, the Division of Paleopathology
(Institute of Pathology) of the Medical Center Munich Bogenhausen and Archeomed
e.V. are pleased to invite you to the 10th International Conference on Ancient
DNA and Associated Biomolecules (ADNA 2010) in Munich, Germany. 

 
This international congress aims to highlight advances in the research and
application of most recent biomolecular studies to archaeology, history,
paleopathology and cultural heritage in all regions of the world. The meeting
is dedicated to provide an international academic forum for the dissemination
of results of current research in these fields. 

We would like to welcome the international community of all interested
scientists, including molecular biologists, paleopathologists, archaeological
scientists and researchers applying natural and material sciences to human and
animal cultural heritage.

In particular the conference will be interested in studies concerning the
following topics:

 

-       Role of Ancient DNA in evolution and population genetics

-       Human migration

-       Hereditary and infectious diseases in past populations

-       Domestication of species

-       Technical aspects of preservation, isolation, analysis of Ancient DNA, 

including new and emerging technologies of ancient biomolecules

-       Interaction/ correlation between various ancient biomolecules

o   stable isotopes and

o   proteins 

with special emphasis on modern morphological technologies including
immunohistochemistry

 

Papers, Abstracts and Poster presentation

 

Papers (podium and poster presentations) on all aspects of research on Ancient
DNA and related biomolecules to archaeology and cultural heritage are welcome.
Problem-oriented, comparative studies, as well as papers addressing advances,
problems and newly emerging technologies for the study of Ancient DNA, proteins
and isotopes will be included in the conference programme.
