Salary : £32,620 to £43,840 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, (salary can progress to £50,822 per annum, subject to performance).

Applications are invited from outstanding candidates for the above post in the Division of Statistics.
In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, the Division was ranked 6th in the UK by research quality, with 20% of the Division's research rated as "world leading" (the highest possible rating) and a further 50% "internationally excellent". The successful candidate will be expected to contribute strongly to maintaining and enhancing the Division's research record. The Division has particular strengths in stochastic epidemic modelling, statistical shape analysis, financial mathematics and probability theory, but candidates with interests in any area of statistics or probability are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in statistics, probability or a related subject and have a proven track-record in publishing research work of international quality in some branch of statistics or probability which complements existing research activity within the School.
