About the Job
If you’re an experienced statistician or analyst with experience of communicating information to a wide range of stakeholders this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. We are looking to recruit a Statistical Information and Communications Manager to assist the Head of the Statistical Information Team in delivering an agreed strategy to support the cancer statistical information needs of internal and external clients.
You will be responsible for the acquisition and timely presentation of core cancer statistics and information on the web, and undertake the delivery of key reports. You will communicate and advise on the use and interpretation of statistical information, both within the charity and to external stakeholders. In addition you will act as a key point of contact for key internal stakeholders, such as the charity’s Press Office, the Policy and Fundraising Teams, and the Science Communications Team to answer queries and resolve issues as they arise.
With a degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or relevant knowledge, the successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs for statistical information provision and how to present and disseminate information to a variety of audiences ideally within a health statistics environment. With staff and project management experience and first rate experience of writing information targeted to adjusting audiences the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence colleagues at all levels. Ideally, you will have experience working in the communication field.
