DGC produced copper precipitate through much of its life, but as far as I am aware only from mine waters - ie "natural" acid leaching. The leaching of the tips is as far as I am aware purely 20th Century.
Balleswidden at St Just used acid leaching to upgrade tin concentrates, the leachate produced small quantities of copper precipitate which was sold to the smelters in casks.
