Dear Caroline Tully
Here's the info on the workshop pasted from Facebook -
I think you are right about importance of Inanna myth to wiccan theology -
Maybe ask Vivienne direct about that - she has long lectured on that at
pagan gatherings - but it seem to figure
several books from other wiccan writers so recon this is not new -
perhaps wiccan equivalent of Babalon/Babylon mythos.

Date:

Time:
10:00am - 5:00pm
Location:
Central London
Description
Vivianne Crowley, Caroline Robertson and Caroline Wise
invite old friends and new to explore the magick and meaning
of the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus.
The Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus with its maxim of, ‘As above
so below,’ is at the core of the worldview of the Western magickal
tradition. In the mysteries of Britain and of Brittany, it is closely
associated with the Grail.
This experiential workshop and rite is an opportunity to share ideas and
to explore through meditation, divination, and talisman making the
magick, myth and meaning of the Emerald Tablet for our magickal practice
and our everyday lives.
This day of discovery will follow the Emerald Tablet as it weaves a
thread linking the mystical realms including the Arabic and Egyptian
magicks to the Golden Dawn, Wicca, and Goddess. The day will build
towards a ritual.
We suggest that you bring a robe or other ritual wear for the rite. Body
paint, masks, artwork, symbols, altar items and musical instruments
appropriate for the occasion are welcome.
Places £20.00 (spaces strictly limited).

ps: New Age: Lionel Snell said in a lecture that occultists should be
more open to new age techniques as they are often really powerful and
that its
possible to engage with them and bracket out the sometimes fluffy
ideology of the teacher - I agree completely with that . .
