sorry for cross posting...
Dear all,
We would like to invite you to the first instalment of this semester’s Twin
City Seminar Series, which combines two papers on similar themes in order to
aid debate and explore different approaches to space and the city.
The theme of our first seminar this semester is Spaces of Disorder, and will
take place on Wednesday the 24th of February at 5.30 pm at Kingston
University (Penrhyn road Campus) in the C-Scaipe debating chamber.
Our two speakers are Dr Emma Casey (Senior Lecturer in Sociology, Kingston
University), who will be presenting on Consumption and Disorder:
Conceptualising ‘The Mass’, and Dr Luke Doggett (Visiting Lecturer Open
University, Kingston University and the University of Cambridge), who will
be presenting on Babylons: The Moral Geography of Cities.
Everyone is Welcome!!
We would also like to encourage students to attend our events. If you think
your students might find this seminar interesting, please do ask them to
come along!
