Dear all
The UMG website has served us well for several years now but is looking
a bit out of date. The UMG Committee is commissioning a new, more
interactive design, which will allow for more user-generated content and
some new sections. We hope to have this up and running within the next
couple of months.
For it to look really good, and to reflect all the great work going on
in university museums, we are going to need some good images, preferably
of activity with collections; teaching, research, public engagement and
widening participation. Images should be at least 72 dpi and at least as
big as they will appear on screen. The can be in tiff, jpg or png
format. They need to be cleared for use on the UMG website too, of course.
Please DO NOT send them to me as email attachments: instead, please
could you use the UCL Dropbox, which you can find at
www.ucl.ac.uk/dropbox. You will need to enter my name, Sally MacDonald,
and my email address: [log in to unmask] as recipient, and your
details as the sender. It should then be very easy for you to drop off
up to 5 images. Please can you put a very brief caption into the
descriptor field for each image, so that we can make sure the images are
properly tagged?
Any problems with this system, do let me know. If you could send images
by Wednesday 3 March that would be a great help.
Many thanks in advance - I look forward to receiving a good selection.
best wishes
Sally
