Thanks. I see these are SCAMP images again.
It does crash my Mac GAIA so it's something to do with that file. Converting it to NDF first fixes the problem. Loading the FITS file on Linux works fine.
On linux I see lots of:
==32277== Use of uninitialised value of size 8
==32277== at 0x536AA58: LookupTableRep::setLookup(int&, int, int) (LookupTable.C:175)
==32277== by 0x536AB22: LookupTableRep::linearScale(int, int, int, int, unsigned long*) (LookupTable.C:221)
==32277== by 0x5363C69: ImageData::colorScale(int, unsigned long*) (LookupTable.h:107)
==32277== by 0x5394C42: RtdImage::initNewImage() (RtdImage.C:1477)
==32277== by 0x5389B8D: RtdImage::clearCmd(int, char**) (RtdCmds.C:602)
==32277== by 0x5386ACF: RtdImage::call(char const*, int, int, char**) (RtdCmds.C:192)
On OSX when running inside the debugger I get a segv at:
(gdb) bt
#0 0x000000010018c197 in LookupTableRep::reset () at LookupTable.C:123
#1 0x00000001001870cc in ImageData::colorScale () at LookupTable.h:131

#5 0x00000001003cb73b in TkImage::configureCmd () at TkImage.C:347

#9 0x00000001003cad48 in TclCommand::tclCmdProc () at TclCommand.C:122
So I'm wondering if the uninitialised warnings coming from LookupTableRep on linux are causing segvs on OSX Snow Leopard.
