LA TERRE PARLE ARABE
The Land Speaks Arabic
A film by Maryse Gargour based on the original
research of Professor Nur Masalha
PRODUCED BY ROSE PRODUCTIONS AND BAD MOVIES
This is a remarkable piece of film based upon the research of Israeli archives
and the first person accounts of Palestinians who fled for their lives, leaving
their villages and homes in 1948. The original research is that of Professor Nur
Masalha and will be of interest, not only to those in the Migration, Asylum and
Refugee Network but also many others who are concerned with issues of
representation. In this film refugee narratives and documented evidence
appear together. The result is a wonderful piece of work by Maryse Gargour
that has been recognised in a number of European film festivals. There will be
a discussion after the film.
