I'm not sure how to define it. 'The object of a person's perception',
perhaps?
I find myself facilitating direct access to a huge variety of 'phenomena'
that stimulate healthy curiosity. This might be a larger field than
'science', but I guess it rules out Lady Gaga...
The great buzz for me is that I find myself trading in stuff that is
intrinsically appealing to people. You have to connect before you can
communicate.
Phenomena connect. Communication follows. It works. That's about all I can
contribute to this.
Promoting public engagement with science
through a contagious delight in phenomena

Give people facts and you feed their minds for an hour.
Awaken curiosity and they feed their own minds for a lifetime.

But what is a phenomenon?
Lady Gaga would seem to fall into that 'camp'.
