Also, there is a rather large cringe factor in this bush slam stuff as
if it is a return to the jingoistic bush ballad but this time on an
international. So, something aimed at an urban coastal audience which
effectively excludes rural dwellers. It does seem to me simply telling
the truth is a rather effective destructive critique of this bush slam
urban coastal celebration of the bush in the big city.
The geography of where I live is also on the complex side since
Narrabri, an urban inland centre, acts as multiple borders. On the
international scale, as a western border to the Pacific region, on the
national scale, a border to the outback and a bordering line that
stretches from Adelaide, via Melbourne and Sydney to Brisbane and Caines
and and beyond, only an eight hour flight to Tokyo, etc. Perth gets
linked in via Adelaide, also. Anyways, rather complex geography, best
