Hi Sarah
I am relatively new to the wonderful jiscmail. I am self employed and one of the services I offer to businesses is a Health and Wellbeing Programme bespoke to the needs of the individual business. A wide range of factors affecting health and wellbeing are explored, and via large and small group work and one to one sessions, individuals set personal goals, which are reviewed usually about 2 months later in a similar format. Information from employer is invaluable in helping to inform programme content/emphasis and delivery. The sessions are very effective and there are frequently some quite dramatic changes in behaviours.
You could consider tackling the topic via a proactive Health and Wellbeing approach, where staff go away with an individual plan with targets relevant to them, which are later reviewed. I do inbuild some pampering too, such as samples of health and beauty products, some homemade wholemeal bread, visit by Body Shop to explore image, the use of colours- though I appreciate there may not be the luxury of time to look holistically in detail. Lots of issues can be tackled in a confidential and relaxed way, with some really pleasing results/changes in behaviours.
If you would like to chat about this, let me know.
Kind regards
Pippa Stanford

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Stress Presentation
Sent: 28 Feb 2010 18:09
I have been asked to give a stress presentation to a group by their line
manager. He is convinced that they are all 'winding' each other up. They all
work very long hours and travel a lot.I would like to give a talk on life
/work balance instead as I could be opening a can of worms.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I could approach this delicate problem
and also if anyone has a life/work presentation they are willing to share.
Thanks in advance
Sarah
